All about Angel

Angel was born and raised in Yorkshire, England, and has been writing for as long as she can remember. Creating characters, and telling stories is what makes her happy, and once she gets writing the hours just seem to disappear. You will often find her hanging out in the worlds that her imagination conjures up and she is never far from either her laptop which is the centre of her operations, or a notebook, just in case inspiration strikes.

Angel has a degree in English Literature, obtained from Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln, where she fine-tuned her knowledge and thrived in the Creative Writing classes which were by far her favourite - it is there that the ideas for her first novel came about, scribbled furiously on the back of a worksheet!
Other than writing, reading is Angel's biggest obsession (and that word is not used lightly); her personal collection is one that she is very proud of and is forever growing, despite the fact that her 'to-be-read' pile never seems to get any smaller... Angel reads what she writes - Fantasy fiction and has recently found a love for rockstar romances and spicy reverse harem novels. Since becoming a Bookseller in December 2017, Angel has tried to step out of her comfort zone and read books that she might not normally pick up - this led her to discover that she quite enjoys crime fiction and still has a love of children's fantasy fiction, something that she recommends every adult should read now and again!

A typical introvert as far as her writing and reading are concerned, but Angel breaks the norm when it comes to wanting to be out and about in the world. She loves to explore, searching for new ideas that will spark her imagination into creating a new character or storyline that will then mold into her next creation! A good adventure is always exciting, especially when it comes with a little spontaneity. Since becoming a mum to two beautiful little boys in 2020 and 2022, Angel's life has rearranged itself putting them at the top - you will now find her out and about exploring everywhere with them at her side and wouldn't change it for the world! Angel is very much family-orientated and a homebody and is happiest when surrounded by the chaos of family life; she hopes one day to write a children's book for them as she would love to be able to tell them her stories <3

Hello, and welcome to the new website - I am excited about how this is going to work. Anyone who has been following me for a while will know that I had a website before, with a monthly newsletter, but after some changes to the company I was using, and some careful consideration, I decided that it wasn't working for me and let the subscriptions lapse. Since then, I have been trying to work out how to move forward, as I still wanted a landing space to direct readers to and some way to communicate other than my socials, which I have just rebooted after almost a year of silence. Hello, Readers! Thanks for stopping by, Angel here, with my original author profile photo for those of you that might be new to my work... Hello, Readers! Wow, this month seems to have flown by! Let's catch up, shall we? For any writers reading this, they will probably know that April was the first Camp of the year linked to National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo , which is November. The non-profit organisation have been around for years, and there are some truly great novels that have risen from the efforts, one well-known one, and one of my favourites, is The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern, which started out as a NaNoWriMo project! NaNoWriMo is simply a month that brings writers all over the world together with one common goal, write 50,000 words during the 30 days of November, which averages out at 1667 words as day. I've been taking part in NaNoWriMo for years now and always use it to start a first draft, making sure that I commit and get those words down on a page.
