Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, Readers! Apologies for going AWOL on you all, life got a little busy, and then it was Christmas... you know how it is. However, I have still been writing, and editing, and am in a good place with my current manuscripts. I have New Year goals to get the first two Twisted Roses books published before Spring! I'm putting that in writing so that you can all hold me responsible. The first Twisted Roses novel is virtually ready to go, but I want the second ready to go too, so that no one is left hanging with the cliffhanger at the end of book one.  As soon as I have dates that I can work to and hold, I will get some titles and cover reveals coming for you. I am so excited to get this series out to you, what started as a single story about a woman biker has become so much more, and I have no idea how I am going to find the time to write the whole series that I have planned now. I also have some ideas for new Hidden World Novels that I need to find time to write too. Until ...

Hello, Readers! Spooky Season is upon us, and my inner child is so ready for Halloween - as are my actual children. We already have one Halloween decoration up, and have done so for weeks now! I love Autumn, and we are down for all the autumnal things - we've already been collecting conkers and have a huge collection going that I now need to find a purpose for... we have plans for Halloween and we are booking in all the trips to places like Pumpkin farms!  What have I been writing? I have put my efforts into getting the Hidden World Novels onto Kindle Unlimited this month, and am hoping that the time away from my Twisted Roses bikers is the push I need to get writing them again, as I had very much got myself stuck in a rut or rereading rather than writing! I can now happily say that all six of the Hidden World Novels are available to read on Kindle Unlimited. This series is not a finished series; there are so many more stories waiting to be written - I just have to find the...

Hello, Readers! How is it September already? Like, seriously, I swear it was Easter a few weeks ago... This year is flying by! It's "Not Back to School" week in our house this week, as my boys are Home Educated, so we are reintroducing some of our rhythms that we have relaxed somewhat over the summer, which included a trip out to The Deep already at their request. We have a full calendar of activities planned as all of our meet ups and groups are back on now that the schools have gone back. I can't wait for some of the things that we have coming up... and I also want to get myself back into a routine as I have let it slip somewhat this last few months and I have very little writing to show for it! What have I been writing? I have kept checking in with my Twisted Roses series, but I have found myself reading and rereading material that I already have. There have been some words added to book two as there should have been, but nowhere near enough for me to say that I am...

Hello, Readers! Summer is upon us and the school holidays have brought the crowds upon us. I try to hibernate a little over the summer holidays as we don't need to be places when they're crowded. As home educators, we can make use of places during the weeks when children are back at school and everywhere is much more chilled. We do however, still spend a lot of time out at the caravan. Our sleepy little seaside town never gets mega busy like some of the big beaches do. So we still get to have a slightly more relaxed holiday, even though it's busier than usual.  What have I been writing? My Twisted Roses Motorcycle Club series gained another story this month. Another character that has already made an appearance in one of the first few books suddenly sprung a storyline in my head which I had to get down and is shaping up to be an interesting plot. Book one is almost ready - I just have a timeline issue to fix and then I am hoping to get a reveal ready for you. ...

Hello, Readers! Who is loving this summer sun as much as I am?  I hate hearing people complaining about it being too hot - I live for this - I would do well in a hotter country, and I am quickly realising that the weather plays a massive part in how I feel. I have much more motivation to do, well, anything, when the sun is out and it's hot. I hate having to get layers on and all the coats and gloves and hats come winter... It's exhausting! We are making the most of the sun by being outside in it as much as possible, whether it's day trips and picnics out, or just lazy afternoons in the garden. If we can, we are outside... What have I been writing? Okay - it's time to share some details as book one of my new series is almost ready to go! I have been writing the beginnings of an erotic romance series revolving around a motorcycle club, the Twisted Roses - check out their patch >> Book one, which will be getting a full title and cover reveal very soon, is the story...

Hello, Readers! Summer is nearly upon us, but in all fairness, we've been having a truly beautiful spring already - I am more than here for all of this sunny weather... it's giving me plenty of evenings to get out running, a hobby that I've recently picked back up after years away from it after having my boys. I am using the Couch to 5k program and am in week 7 and getting on well so far!  I gave myself a couple of weeks break at the beginning of May, after my efforts during April and went back through some of my other material, rereading bits and pieces that I have already written. It opened my eyes to just how many ideas I really have had over time, and how many of them I have put onto paper, whether there be a few hundred words in a document or a few hundred pages. I have so many ideas, just not enough time to write them all down! What have I been writing? Closer to the end of the month, I got back into writing the second book of my biker romance series which I class as ...

Hello, Readers! Wow, this month seems to have flown by! Let's catch up, shall we? For any writers reading this, they will probably know that April was the first Camp of the year linked to National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo , which is November. The non-profit organisation have been around for years, and there are some truly great novels that have risen from the efforts, one well-known one, and one of my favourites, is The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern, which started out as a NaNoWriMo project! NaNoWriMo is simply a month that brings writers all over the world together with one common goal, write 50,000 words during the 30 days of November, which averages out at 1667 words as day. I've been taking part in NaNoWriMo for years now and always use it to start a first draft, making sure that I commit and get those words down on a page. April and July are Camp, where the idea is similar, but writers set their own goals. Now, when I went to sign up at the beginning of April,...
