July 2025
Hello, Readers!
Who is loving this summer sun as much as I am?I hate hearing people complaining about it being too hot - I live for this - I would do well in a hotter country, and I am quickly realising that the weather plays a massive part in how I feel. I have much more motivation to do, well, anything, when the sun is out and it's hot. I hate having to get layers on and all the coats and gloves and hats come winter... It's exhausting!
We are making the most of the sun by being outside in it as much as possible, whether it's day trips and picnics out, or just lazy afternoons in the garden. If we can, we are outside...
A few months ago I think I mentioned reading several books by Sage Relleanne, and this month I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of book two in her Star-Crossed duet. I have to tell you, it did not disappoint!! If you have not read Her Day to Die yet, I highly recommend it, and Not Her Day to Die is due out on the 26th July - get reading!
What have I been writing?
Okay - it's time to share some details as book one of my new series is almost ready to go!
I have been writing the beginnings of an erotic romance series revolving around a motorcycle club, the Twisted Roses - check out their patch >>
Book one, which will be getting a full title and cover reveal very soon, is the story of just one of the members of the Twisted Roses, which becomes a MFM relationship pretty quickly. My female main character is pretty kick ass, and her relationship with the two men in the book is awesome. I can't wait for you to read it. I am working hard to get book two finished as I mentioned in last month's post, book one has a pretty harsh cliff hanger and I don't want to leave you hanging too long, so as soon as book two is in a place where I can put a release date to it, book one is all yours!
My plans for this series, is to cover lots of different kinds of relationships, so not all books will be multiple people to a relationship, some will be just MF and I have several planned with LGBTQ+ characters too, one of which is quickly shaping up to be my favourite, even though it will be several books down the line yet! I also only intend on releasing this book in kindle format, so I hope you're all able to access it - it will be in Kindle Unlimited if you're a member there, and will have a low cost price if not.
What have I been reading?
Another highlight of this month was getting to meet the awesome Darren Shan at work where he came to do a signing for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the release of his book, Cirque Du Freak. He is such a lovely person, and was absolutely amazing with his readers.
What have you read recently that you really loved? I'm always looking for recommendations, drop me some ideas below.
What have I been up to in life?
We have been on so many adventures during June that I genuinely couldn't count them all - we racked up 93 hours outside, which I track as we take part in the 1000 Hours Outside Challenge, a movement about getting your children outside instead of them being on screens.
Whenever they're free, we have Aunty Sammy and baby Panda join us, and Nannie is often with us too. We've been to the caravan again, our favourite place to be. We've done a couple of trips to the wildlife park, some park visits and so many picnics, including a teddy bear's picnic with the family on International Picnic Day!
I am loving how much time we are getting to spend with my sister and my nephew and the boys absolutely adore their baby cousin. I am so excited to see them grow up together. Being an Auntie is awesome!!
I'm always looking for great adventure ideas for me and the boys - We live in Yorkshire, so any recommendations would be great. We'd love to check out some new places!
Thank you
I will never be able to put into words how grateful I am for the support I've had over the years, from my family and friends, the people who have given their time to read and edit my books, and to each and every one of you who have bought and read my stories! Without all of you, I wouldn't be where I am today, because I'd be writing books that no one was reading, and where as I would still write, even if no one wanted to read them... I am so happy that I get to share my stories with you!
Till next time,
Angel x
